Ballroom Dancers

In addition to all the other fun, the French Festival is also a dance and music festival - and all the entertainment is free!  Each day at 11:00 am the entertainment kicks off on three stages and continues non-stop until 7:00 pm.  The stages are filled with dance and music from more than 30 different acts.  The entertainment includes vocalists and bands, performance and instruction.  Performances incorporate the wide cultural influences that the French have had around the world from  French Polynesian dance and West African belly dance to Cajun music, Can-Can, tango and so much more.  The performers include local favorites as well as artists from Los Angeles and as far north as the Bay Area.

The Moulin Rouge Stage features dance and larger group performances and group participation, including tango and hula instruction.  Each day our grand finale will be performed by the Grand Dames of the Femme Fatales Drag Revue - these are show stoppers not to be missed.

The Eiffel Stage, under the lovely trees of Oak Park, features mainly musical performances and is surrounded by tasty food and beverage vendors so you can have a lovely picnic while enjoying the beautiful music.  The infamous Pooch Parade provides the grand finale for this stage, with some high steppers of a whole different breed.

The Accordion Stage is filled throughout the day by performers from the Accordion International Music Society of Santa Barbara. You can grab a tasty crepe, a nice glass of wine and sit back and enjoy the music and fun.

All of our performers are volunteers. They receive no compensation for their services or travel expenses.  In the French tradition they may pass the hat at the end of their performance and your support is greatly appreciated.  Many of the groups use these donations to support their performances throughout the year. Merci!
